 TOUR BRIEF

  • Pick up and drop off at your accommodation anywhere within the Margaret River wine region.

  • Adventure down south of Margaret River, with a visit to the Cape Leeuwin lighthouse, a must-see attraction, and learn its maritime history and how this famous landmark was constructed from local limestone in 1895, and remains a vital working lighthouse for vessels navigating the treacherous cape. Your guide will lead you to the top of the tower, where a vast seascape will unfold before you. Be awed by the crashing waves and the wilderness of the landscape.

  • Our next stop is to the 'Ocean Pantry' where you will enjoy freshly cooked abalone and ocean cellared ‘Subsea Estate’ wines while enjoying views of the Augusta Boat Harbour.

  • From there we drive through the picturesque coastal town of Augusta, en route to ‘Glenarty Road’, a producer of handmade wines from grapes grown on a fifth-generation family farm in Karridale, Margaret River. This small producer follows sustainable practices from ground to glass. They offer a mouth watering selection of farm fresh eats, taking advantage of what is fresh and ready in the garden. Here you will sit down to their 3 course ‘Farm Feast’ lunch menu with paired wines.

  • On our return journey north and nestled in the rural beauty of Karridale, we will visit a boutique distillery, dedicated to crafting farm-fresh, small-batch spirits that reflect the seasons. With hand-picked botanicals, orchard fruits, and a commitment to sustainability, ‘Wild Lot Distillery’ celebrates the rich natural bounty of the Margaret River region. Whether you’re sipping a gin & tonic in their relaxed countryside setting or discovering the stories behind each release, every visit is a taste of something truly unique.

  • Our final stop includes a visit to ‘Voyager Estate’ with its beautiful ‘Cape Dutch’ architecture, set amongst expansive, landscape designed gardens and vineyards. A bespoke tasting designed around you, 'Savour Voyager' is a hosted wine journey that is thoughtfully tailored to your preferences.  Hosted by knowledgeable Wine Guides, you’ll be taken through each pour with insights into their certified organic philosophy, as well as viticulture and winemaking. Your tasting is further elevated with a selection of paired snacks from their acclaimed Restaurant.

  • On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, there will be a choice to substitute a visit to Voyager Estate with one to ‘Mr BARVAL’, a producer of traditional hand crafted, ultra premium wines by owner/winemaker Rob Gherardi and wife Kellie. Set on one of the most picturesque properties in Margaret River, overlooking the Calgardup Brook and Karri Forests. Here you will experience their 'Riserva' range wine tasting in a slow-phased setting of a beautiful cellar door by the lake, that is selected from the best fruit to the most thorough techniques, and served with organic olives — including the newly released LIRICA Cabernet Sauvignon.
